KENT & MEDWAY

Kent or Cantia, as the Anglo Saxons called it, is most famously known as ‘The Garden of England’ because of all the amazing fruit that is grown here, and also ‘The Gateway to Europe’ as more than half the country’s goods pass through Dover one way or another.

Medway is better known for its Military and Naval background with its strongest links in Chatham dockyard. Medway’s combined port activities make it the ninth largest port in the UK.
