Through 121 peer support and working closely with local providers of community services challenge the barriers that prevent disabled children and young people from being included in mainstream youth and leisure opportunities.

Turnaround Coordinator (Dartford) 37.5 hours, £19 - £22K To provide a volunteer mentoring service for families identified through the Dartford Troubled Families programme to secure sustainable improvement in the family's situation.
Volunteer Development officer (West Kent) 37.5 hours, £17 - £19K To recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers to provide practical and emotional support to adult carers.
Executive Assistant/PA (Tunbridge Wells) 37.5 hours, £18 - £21K To provide senior level administrative and secretarial support for the Senior Leadership team. Landscape Heritage and Grants Officer Salary band H £24,514 - £28,232 (pro rata) 3 year fixed-term contract (secondments will be considered) 18.5 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the landscape heritage and local communities in the Dover and Folkestone area.
The purpose of this post is to actively encourage, promote, assess and process applications to the Up on the Downs Landscape Partnership's Landscape Heritage Grants Scheme. The post will also take the lead role in managing the logistics of the scheme's conservation grazing project, including building productive relationships with landowners and farmers.
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience of grant distribution in an environmental conservation or heritage management setting
- Experience of engaging individuals and community groups in environmental conservation or heritage related activities
- Knowledge and understanding of methods for community engagement and increasing access to heritage
- Excellent communication skills, able to work in an integrated way beyond immediate programme delivery responsibilities
Some work outside of normal office hours will be required.

Community Engagement and Learning Officer, Up on the Downs Landscape Partnership Salary band G - £30,634 - £35,738 3 year fixed-term contract (secondments will be considered) 37 hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the landscape heritage and local communities in the Dover and Folkestone area.
The purpose of this post is to manage and coordinate the effective delivery of a wide range of community engagement and learning projects as outlined in the Landscape Conservation Action Plan for the Up on the Downs Landscape Partnership. The post will also develop a range of learning opportunities for local communities and visitors to increase understanding of the landscape heritage and improve the educational experience at relevant sites within the scheme area.
We are looking for someone with:
- A strong record of successfully engaging with hard-to-reach groups, especially with young people aged 13 - 19 years
- Good experience and knowledge of the development, delivery and management of both formal and informal learning initiatives
- A track record of delivering creative and innovative learning, celebration and interpretation programmes for a wide range of community groups
- Excellent communication skills, able to work in an integrated way beyond immediate programme delivery responsibilities
Some work outside of normal office hours will be required.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and well organised individual to engage with families and provide a support, information and sign posting service. The role will also involve planning and delivering a number of family focussed events. Essential skills include the ability to communicate at all levels, excellent organisational skills and a dedication to supporting children with disabilities. Previous experience of working in the not for profit sector and/or with children with disabilities would be advantageous but not essential. A DBS check will be required for this post.

Part time Administrator Required - Dover

Dover Counselling Centre provides life enhancing support to individuals in distress or seeking to improve their quality of life.
There is a vacancy for a part-time Administrator at the Dover office.
Candidates will be of good character with a commitment to providing a first class customer care service as part of a small administrative team dealing with confidential information. The successful applicant will be a good communicator, verbally and in writing, able to demonstrate empathy towards client needs. In addition you will be skilled in accurate record keeping, basic computer usage, with the ability to summarise information gleaned from a structured telephone or face to face interview with clients.
Ideally you will have proven ability and experience of successfully working with those in a distressed or pressured circumstance, able to manage communication effectively and objectively, in order not to exacerbate the situation.
Remuneration is well above the minimum wage.
