Surviving Winter Fund The ‘Surviving Winter’ Fund has been created to help anyone over 60 years old in Kent & Medway who cannot afford to heat their home and maintain a reasonable standard of living during the winter. Funds are available to organisations working with older people in need, to manage hardship grants and for project activities. | The IFGB’s primary focus is to raise and distribute money to groups that specifically help the many vulnerable and elderly Irish in the UK. |
This charity aims to support and enhance quality of life for older vegetarians and vegans. Grants are normally made to assist ‘independent living’, for example: to provide ramps, grab handles, minor kitchen/bathroom adaptations, stair lifts, or perhaps respite care.

The Fuserna Foundation revitalises and supports charities and charitable projects that are subject to financial constraints and have a combined lack of exposure and publicity in relation to their charitable cause. The Foundation will usually issue grants between £5,000 and £15,000. Applications can be submitted at any time.

The Clothworkers' Foundation

The funds work to improve the quality of life, particularly for people and communities facing disadvantage.Applications to the Main Grants Programme and Small Grants Programme must fall under one of the following areas:
- Encouragement of Young People - Preference is given to organisations working with economically disadvantaged youth in deprived areas.
- Social Inclusion - Support for organisations which tackle such problems as substance abuse, homelessness, offending and family breakdown.
- Elderly - Priority is given to projects focusing on those in need or at risk of social exclusion.
- Disability - Support for organisations tackling the needs of disabled people, and people with mental health issues, but not work purely to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act.
- Visual impairment - Support for organisations addressing the needs of blind or visually impaired people.
- Textiles - UK academic institutions involved in textiles, technical textiles and colour science. Heritage projects involving textiles collections, particularly those of national importance.

| Handicapped Aid Trust |
|
The Handicapped Aid Trust has helped over 4,000 people with disabilities to take a break, in many cases allowing the permanent carer the benefit of much needed, if short, relief from those they care for every day. They welcome applications from those who would like to take a break but cannot afford to pay the extra expenses of essential helpers.
Applications are reviewed and funds allocated twice a year 1st February for summer holidays and by 1st August for winter holidays.

The Concertina Charitable Trust Concertina makes grants to charitable bodies which provide musical entertainment and related activities for the elderly. The Sir Cliff Richard Charitable Trust Grants are made by the Trust every quarter, with about 50 different registered charities benefiting each time. Priority is given to charities working in medical research, with children and the elderly, and those involved with the physically and/or mentally disabled. Aid for the Aged in Distress AFTAID consider applications for a wide variety of grant requests to help the elderly in financial distress but the beneficiary of the grant MUST be of state pensionable age, a UK citizen, on a lower income and have minimal savings. They mainly take applications from individuals, however most contact is made by caring professionals and members of voluntary organisations. Yapp Charitable Trust The Yapp Charitable Trust make grants to small registered charities to sustain their existing work with: elderly people, children and young people aged 5 -25, people with disabilities or mental health problems, people trying to overcome life-limiting problems of a social, rather than medical origin - such as addiction, relationship difficulties, abuse, a history of offending. The Tesco Charity Trust Community Awards The Tesco Charity Trust Community Awards Scheme Provides one-off donations of between £1,000 and £4,000. The funding they give goes towards providing practical benefits, such as equipment and resources for projects that directly benefit children, the elderly and adults and children with disabilities, living in the local communities around their stores in the UK. There are two categories of Community Awards: 1.
