Kent CAN would like to update our members on the progress of both Kent and Medway's bids for the Transforming Local Infrastructure Fund. As many of you know Kent CAN will lead the bid for Medway, with the Big Society Co-operative leading the partnership for Kent. The bids for Kent and Medway will both be submitted to Big Fund by the end of October and the two groups will work closely together to maximise both Kent and Medway's chances of successfully securing each grant. Big Fund will start assessing the bids in November and they will announce the successful grants at the end of January 2012.
Kent CAN have recently broken through another milestone – we are proud to announce we now have over 150 different funding streams on our website. The Kent CAN website is a major source of information when it comes to looking for local and national grants to support voluntary and community groups in Kent. Finding the right funder can be tricky so we have created 12 different categories to help you narrow down your search. With the added benefit of Wiki@KentCAN members can quickly gather information and find useful contacts for running projects and securing funding. Please click here to access Kent CAN's funding home page which will display further information on the funding streams available.
