Tap Water Awards is a grants programme that aims to help schools provide access to mains drinking water on campus while reducing the use of plastic bottled waters.

Communitybuilders Feasibility Grants Grant Value £10,000 - £25,000

Feasibility grants of half a million will be available for organisations looking to research and develop a sustainable and entrepreneurial idea that meets social needs of their local community.

They are looking to award between 20 and 30 grants and up to 5 days business support to high quality applicants with a proven track record. Organisations can apply for a maximum of £25,000 and minimum of £10,000 in this round of funding.

You can use the Communitybuilders Feasibility Grants for -

  • Capital expenditure: Architects and other professional fees to produce detailed design and costings for building plans, and other one-off fees relating to building purchase or development.
  • Revenue expenditure: Development of business plans, internal project management costs, increased staff capacity, training related to your enterprise idea and market research and product development.

People's Health Trust Grant Value £5,000 - £10,000

The Healthy Communities Programme is available to small community and voluntary organisaitons and groups to support an improvement in health and well-being in their local communities.

The Kent Big Society Fund is open for applications 

The aim of the Kent Big Society Fund is to break down the barriers which prevent enterprising charities and social businesses from accessing finance. Investment from £10,000 to £100,000 is available to support social enterprise activity across Kent. Primarily a loan fund, there is some scope for an element of grant alongside loan finance (maximum 1:4 grant to loan ratio) to stimulate and support the development of social enterprise.

The Kent Big Society Fund provides:

  • Investment from £10,000 to £100,000
  • Flexible and tailored packages
  • Accessible application process
  • Fixed rates and terms
  • On-going supportive relationship
  • Funds reinvested in the sector
  • Rolling programme of applications with regular decision making panels

We welcome applications from a wide variety of organisational structures including charities, Community Interest Companies, Companies limited by guarantee, Industrial & Provident Societies.

Applications can only be accepted from social enterprises operating within the Kent County Council administrative area who will utilise the finance to benefit communities in Kent.
