Local groups given continued support by Community Groups
Sevenoaks District Council will be supporting local charity and community groups by allocating £153,331 to help them continue their valuable work across the district. 

Kent and Christ Church universities receive medical school funding
The University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church have received funding to establish the county’s first medical school. 

Hundreds march to save stroke service in Kent 
The march was called by Save Our NHS in Kent, which is an umbrella group for health campaigns across Kent and Medway. 

Medway Community Healthcare (MCH) awarded contract to managage Children's Community Services in Medway 
The new approach will bring together 19 different services that support children and families into a single service model reducing duplication, to ensure families have as many joint appointments as possible

Kent County Council’s Sensory and Autism Services team would like to engage with both suppliers and Language Service Professionals to understand the marketplace, and the range of service offerings, in relation to interpreting services for D/deaf and deafblind people. Information gathered through this market engagement will used to inform a commissioning strategy for the redesign of these services in Kent.

Level 1 City & Guilds Practical Horticulture Skills 

Are you aged 19-24? Looking for a new challenge and a career outside?

Why not join Groundwork South’s 10 week horticulture traineeship programme. There is much more to gardening than potting plants, give it a go and you’ll get work experience and learn great skills that you use in any job. 

For two days each week you will get practical horticultural training and the opportunity to gain a Level 1 City & Guilds Award in Practical Horticulture Skills. We have Horticulture Traineeships available now in the Medway and Swale areas.

The NHS in Kent and Medway, Bexley in south east London and the High Weald area of East Sussex, is today launching a public consultation on the future of urgent stroke services in Kent and Medway. The NHS is asking for people’s views on proposals to establish new 24/7 hyper acute stroke units in Kent and Medway.
